Business model & transparency
How SurviveBetter intends to fund itself, how partner links are handled and which rules apply to AI tools.
Current state
- The website currently contains no advertising, no affiliate links and no paid content.
- No products are currently sold.
- Operator: Vidoslav Poryazov (see imprint).
- Funding during the build phase: the operator's own resources, without investors, grants or sponsors.
What always stays free
- Emergency numbers and safety-critical basic information.
- The platform's knowledge entries in their online version.
- Offline saving, search and the personal notebook.
Planned revenue
Offline app: a standalone smartphone app that works without a connection is in preparation and is intended to be sold in the app stores. The website itself stays free.
Designed handbooks: designed PDF and EPUB handbooks are to be produced from approved entries. They are in preparation and not available. Sales will only start once the content has been reviewed and payment processing, terms, withdrawal information and privacy notices have been legally approved.
Partner links: links to retailers may be affiliate links in future. The rules in the next section apply.
Rules for partner links
- Partner links are labelled as such directly at the link.
- Commissions have no influence on content, criteria or method comparisons. The gear pages explain criteria, not best-of lists.
- Only products that can be classified factually against transparent criteria are linked. There are no invented tests, ratings or testimonials.
- Safety-critical content (e.g. emergency calls, first aid, water treatment) contains no partner links within instructions.
No paid placement
Manufacturers and retailers cannot buy placement, mentions or ratings. There are no sponsored entries. Should a cooperation exist in future, it will be disclosed on this page and on the affected content.
Use of AI
- AI tools may help with drafting, outlining and translation suggestions. Their output is always treated as a draft.
- Sources, quotes, measurements and experts are never invented by AI or adopted unchecked.
- Nothing is approved without human review under the editorial standards.
- Recommendations on the platform follow visible rules; no AI decides.
- Pictures: the preview and mood pictures for situations, knowledge worlds and entries are created with an OpenAI image model (AI-generated illustrations). They show mood and setting, not instructions; the text, steps and reviewed drawings are what count. Knot diagrams and first-aid content are never illustrated with AI.
